As a great admirer of your past work, and someone who also finds Berserk and Claymore to be some of my favorite anime / manga respectively (by a long shot), I was VERY excited to see that you were covering dark souls. Initially, I have to admit, I was disappointed to not see any of the incredible motion design seen in your previous works.

Now that I've rewatched your video a few times, I can really appreciate your cuts, scene selection and overall interpretation of the haunting beauty and decay that is such a touchstone of the Souls series. The music was well-chosen (though the drums ARE a little much, even for me) and I felt a great sense of respect for the elements of great realms gone to ruin that Miyazaki places such importance in.

While there are other flashier GMVs using this source, I don't feel like any of them have felt like an extension of the vision of Souls like this one. I would have loved for some more dynamic camera motion and color grading, and more use of the Flame Keeper / Emerald Herald / Maiden in Black. Maybe even Artorias and Sif. Perhaps you wanted to keep things at a more macro-level distance, but I think I would have felt a greater connection to the video if you had shown some of them.

BUT if your intention was to focus on the Gwyn and the lords of cinder, you did a great job. Overall, I really like it. Good job!

I don't even know how to properly articulate how much I liked this one. I'm addicted to it now. The song goes perfectly with the drama of the characters' lives, their suffering and then, juxtaposed with it all, the games and the mannequins/dolls/marionettes breaking apart... The hard cuts and fades are a perfect match to the song, and the overall editing is easy on the eyes (it's the most appropriate when we need to see what's happening as well, instead of being thrown around by flashy transitions and effects). It's as they say: sometimes, simple is best. :wink:

You were very ambitious in your storytelling, but the blending and masks were not very good sometimes (especially that scene with the knife). Try to use saturation and color grading that matches your different sources. Also, softening edges can help a lot for blending a bit better.

Противоречивые впечатления. Если бы у автора был бы сколь-нибудь пригодный концепт, а непросто навык и технический скил, то могло бы получится что-нибудь достойное. А так...
Клип имеет объём (художественное решение), но не имеет содержания (не обязательно смыслового). Одни прикольные фичи, тем более они тут однообразны, довольно скоро надоедают, ну, по крайней мере, лично мне.

Боюсь что он не китайский ни разу. Был бы национальный, было бы что оценить, но не факт что мы смогли бы.

Приколы свойственны жанру "комедия". Причем, обычно, плохим её вариантам.

Не моё. Проскучал всю дорогу. М\в, кажется, удачным. Сентиментал наличествует, драмы скорее не чувствуется, история как-то мутно изложена (с исходником Я знаком).

Справедливости ради, выскажусь.
Там клип хорош далеко не благодаря м/в. С другим он даже получше был и не обязательно митолом, да. Сомнительный выбор типичного попсового представителя позднего постхарда, под дарк фентези сорс.
