Thank you. I realize that, but they are really just playful experiments for whatever reasons.
I feel doubtful, not because I don't like it, but it is little away from what I want to do at that point. However, thank you for sharing.
Thank you for your suggestions. Although I am not sure I understand it well, I will try to chew, digest and absorb what's appropriate for me.
I would like to make my AMV like some MAD in Japan. I mean those heavily using static pictures from Manga or Games. Then it comes to a question about the potential of a single pictures. This is why I end up doing these experiments.
It's amazing to see how some Japanese MAD producers reach the 1/30 sec in a way I like very much. Nevertheless, as I said in my description, I still think I have a long way to go. I will try to make it better next time, though I am never sure whether the audience will like it or not.
With time you will gain sensibility and get the feel for what to use and if it truly makes the scene better or worse, along with keeping a somewhat defined structure of effects and sync, for example, if there is a very noticeable beat that repeats every 2 seconds, it should have an accompanying visual feedback on the video, either being a fast screen pump, making the edges darker for just a few frames or simply switching scenes, and sticking to what you chose for that certain sound until the music changes or the sound is gone.
This is the same for whatever sounds you might want to sync in the song, each one should be linked to a property of your choosing, creating a coherent output which faithfully represents the song visually and at the same time exposes your concept.
Take your time to experiment with new ideas, and even watch the top 5 of previous Akross contests to understand the difference between their videos and yours, and what could be better. Or just keep at it this way if you enjoy it the most, this is but a fun hobby after all.
I feel so. I am afraid that people are getting more anxious these days, including me. However, I can hardly think a better choice than that (or I'm too lazy to try). Therefore, I try to make screen shots more interesting to hook the audience up. We will see how far I can reach.
